About Dana

A warm hello and welcome to my site! I'm delighted you're visiting and hope you enjoy browsing and finding inspiration!

To give you an idea of what and who you are dealing with here, I would like to introduce myself and my art a little:

Who am I
My name is Dana, I'm 32 years old, and I come from beautiful Northern Hesse, Germany. I've been involved with art and creativity in various forms my entire life and studied art history and philosophy at the Kassel Art Academy for two years. A few years ago, I began to focus intensively on abstract painting and started my own business part-time in 2025. My dream is to be able to make a living entirely from my art!

What I like - what I don't like
I enjoy honest conversations, deep reflection, and plenty of time for myself. I'm an introvert, and I find I recharge most when I can withdraw from everything and do what I want in peace. Besides my art, this includes writing (which I've been practicing regularly since my early teens), exercising, listening to music, spending time in nature, and eating good food.
I don't like narrow-minded and dishonest people, intolerance, arrogance and being kept waiting.

What has shaped me
The last few years have been ups and downs and have left enormous scars, but they have (in a roundabout way) brought me back to myself and enabled me to develop a deep and comprehensive perspective on life. I am convinced that one grows through crises and can only find oneself when one is forced to reflect on oneself and question life based on certain circumstances. I also realized that I love abstract ideas while studying philosophy, and therefore I repeatedly incorporate profound themes or lettering into my art.

What do I paint
After beginning abstract painting out of curiosity, enjoyment, and the development of my creativity, over time I've increasingly developed an individual artistic language that defines me personally and allows me to immerse myself more and more deeply in my art. The idea I had at the beginning of my self-employment, of not wanting to limit myself and of using and offering a wide variety of techniques, formats, and materials, is gradually being replaced by a clear structure and visual language.

I would be delighted if you would like to be part of my journey and accompany and support me on my way to realizing my dream of working as a full-time artist!
