Beautiful, simple, harmonious. The outward appearance appears well-thought-out and consistent, without any contradictions or provocations that could open the door to attack. The perception is what is intended: Adapted, but interesting enough to attract attention. A perfect image for the outside world.
The interior deviates. The interior reveals contradictions, conflicts, and tensions.
The work plays with the duality between external harmony and internal complexity. The pouring technique, applied in a completely new way—almost taming—forms the frame, the facade, of the object: vibrant, authentic, almost decorative.
I deliberately kept the center of the painting a simple yellow, as this tone is echoed in the perimeter, creating a connection between inside and outside. The purple stands out as a complementary color, impulsively disrupting the order. Impulses that are present inside but not visible from the outside.
